Privacy Policy

Who we are

Knights Knowledge Inc is a nonprofit organization based in Southeast Lancaster, PA, offering dual-generation programming — financial literacy sessions for parents alongside STEM tutoring for kids. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through knightsknowledge.org (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Financial Literacy Check. Our quiz is completely anonymous. We never ask for your name, email, or any other identifying information, and we don’t store your IP address with your answers. We only save which questions were answered correctly, in aggregate, so we can see which topics families find hardest — never tied to you individually.
• Session sign-ups. If you request to join a program session through our calendar, we collect the information you provide (such as your name and contact information) so we can plan for attendance and reach you about the session. We don’t use it for anything beyond coordinating our programming.
• Contact by email. If you email us directly, we’ll have your email address and whatever you choose to share with us.
• Site usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our Site — which pages are visited, how long people stay, and what device or browser they’re using. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to do this. This data is aggregated and doesn’t identify you personally to us.
• Local storage. Our Site remembers your language preference (English or Spanish) using your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device — we never see it. If you sign in as a session organizer to manage the calendar, that sign-in is also remembered locally on your device only.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to run and improve our programs, communicate with families about upcoming sessions, understand which financial topics need more attention in our curriculum, and understand how people use our Site so we can make it more useful. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, for any reason.

How we share information

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the Site and our programs — currently Google (Google Analytics, and Google Sheets/Apps Script, which powers our calendar sign-ups). These providers only use the information to provide their service to us; they don’t have permission to use it for anything else. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to collect the usage data described above. You can turn off cookies in your browser settings, or use a tool like Google’s Analytics Opt-out add-on, without affecting your ability to use the rest of the Site.

Children’s privacy

Our programs serve families, including children, but our Site itself is intended for use by parents and guardians who sign up for sessions on their family’s behalf. We don’t knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the Site. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at knightsknowledgeinc@gmail.com and we will delete it.

How long we keep information

We keep anonymous quiz results indefinitely, since they don’t identify anyone and help us track our impact over time. We keep session sign-up information only as long as we need it to plan and run our programs, and delete it after that unless a family asks us to keep it for future sessions.

Your choices

• Ask us what information we have about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing knightsknowledgeinc@gmail.com
• Turn off cookies in your browser to limit analytics tracking
• Clear your browser’s local storage to reset your language preference or organizer sign-in

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect, but no method of storing or transmitting data is 100% secure. We can’t guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
